detachment

the light from the window
bisects her body as she sits,
leaving her face
stranded in shadows-
separating head and heart

      Thank you. I’m typically a wordy person. I love playing with haiku, tanka, and a couple new to me forms, monostich and gogyohka, to try to pare down what I see to just the clean lines of what I see. 🙂
