Distant blue hilltops
Dusted with snow
Trees budding
Oak tree branches
Western sides painted white
Stand naked in snow
Maples tapped
Kettles sweetly boil
Standing in the snow
Daffodils refuse
To open burgeoning buds
Blanketed with snow
a few words spewing from my soul…

Relentless snow falls
From monochromatic clouds
One more no-spring day

…I’m not sure why this stood out amongst the rest, but I love this stanza. It’s so visual to me.
