bare shoulder bathed
in the waning golden sunlight
you turn towards me
.
I’m blinded by the
sun, your smile, as my face tips
upward for a kiss
.
your arm anchoring
me to you, rocking on waves
of each sleeping breath
.
eyelashes casting
lengthy shadows across your
cheek, all tips painted
silver from the gibbous moon
hanging in our sky tonight

Thanks. I’ve been here for about 8 years I think. But just getting back into writing.

Oh cool! You seem like a seasoned writer! I’ve been here just a couple years.

Thank you. I’ve been writing all my life. More intentional about it since ‘07 … but there’s lots of gaps where life took over.
We used to have a good community built up here who wrote and shared together.

Yeah i’ve seen it dwindle even in my short time here. Leaves me wondering…

It’s just life intervening. Ebb and flow. Writing and reading cycles. There’s always others who have interesting thoughts as well to find.
