Mother Nature
wreaked devastation,
an epic Fibonacci storm,
washing away coastline,
landmarks, lives.
A world apart
children erased
in a heartbeat –
so much evil
in so many forms.
You find safety
burying yourself deeply
inside me, forgetting
the world outside, crying,
“Yes, yes” to the walls
I watch the grey clouds
passing over
outside the window
that have seen it all
and must remember,
and I cry, “Why?”.

its still a first draft and maybe its too long but what the heckβ¦.am sure your comments would be the devil’s advocate I need…

The Mayans disappeared, who knows why? Enjoy your life. It is the only sense I think. Please, be happy for the holiday in your own way. Yumi xx

Why a Fibonacci storm?

When Sandy swept up the coast, the spiral of the cloud cover was, at one point, this perfect Fibonacci curve. Since it was the “perfect storm”, I thought that it was interesting. π

Ahh….Many things in nature use the Fibonacci numbers and the logarithmic spiral.

π the golden ratio. I’m a science geek.

Good to meet another science geek. Learning about the golden proportiion was one of the significant moments in my life.

I can’t say that – but I find it engrossing. π

Well, you’re apparently a much healthier and more balanced person than I. I became (maybe 15 years ago) a big reader of recreational math and science books. I don’t read much fiction anymore. All because of that golden proportion book I found.

Lol or I just didn’t read the right book. π
I’ve always loved science and math. The nova PBS show the elegant universe was a changer for me.
